Filed mine in September 2023 based off of 3 year marriage.  Current status is taking longer than expected after the estimated wait was 3 months.  Currently have no outstanding tasks.  I have other friends who already had their interviews and citizenship completed when applied a few months later than me.  I am currently in Sacramento CA area.  Anyone else in the same boat?

Your friends and others may have been dealt with other FO offices which are less busy than yours. Every FO operation and workload is different than others. But since it has been over 7 months, you should hear something soon. Every case varies, some goes faster, some requires extra checking. But hang in there, you may be next in line for an Interview. It is been 7 months, and you haven't received any RFE already, which indicates that you may be receiving an Interview notice soon. Keep us posted!

I filed on September 11th, 2023, along with my wife, but still no updates.  I am seeing that your case is taking longer than expected timeframe.  Anyone else on similar boat?

Did your wife receive any update ?  Also did you raise the inquiry with USCIS ?

I was once in the same situation, but then one bright sunny day in the early hours, everything changed when I received the news: 'We have scheduled an interview.' So hang tight! You may be next :). Every FO operates differently, with varying workloads. I applied on Sep 13, Interview scheduled in Jan for Feb 12.

*****I would appreciate if this can be pinned*****

Alhum du lillha, On the 10th, I officially became a US citizen! I also applied for a passport on the same day and opted for expedited processing, which should take around 2 weeks.

Reflecting on this milestone, I can't help but reminisce about my journey, which began way back in 2007 when I was a complete newbie navigating the complexities of the immigration process. I vividly recall signing up for visajourney, feeling lost and uncertain about where to begin or what documents to include with my application.

However, it was the kindness and support of individuals like you, who generously offered guidance and assistance, that propelled me forward. From that moment in 2007 to this significant milestone in 2024, it's been quite the journey - one filled with challenges, triumphs, and countless learning experiences.

While my personal journey may have reached its destination, I'm committed to paying it forward. I won't simply disappear into the sunset now that I've completed my own immigration process. Instead, I'll remain available to offer support, guidance, and information to anyone embarking on their own immigration journey.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible chapter in my life. Here's to new beginnings and paying it forward!

May 22nd I took my oath and became officially a U.S. citizen.

what a journey it has been and I wouldn’t be able to do it without this community. I wish I can tag everyone personally who has helped me in some way but I just want to express my appreciation to everyone and if you’re still in the process. Please hang in there. Your efforts and patience will soon be rewarded!
