Hi,

I mailed my package on 9/12 and USCIS (I got the California Center) sent the letters on 9/28. I received two letters: one stating that I do not need biometrics and another one with a code to create a USCIS account information. The letter with the extension has not arrived. In my online account, I can see that all three letters were mailed the same day and a pdf file for each one. Can we print the extension letter and use this if we need to? Or should I request USCIS to send me a new one?

You should print out a copy of the extension letter for your records and emergency cases.  However, you need the original extension letter for travels outside the US.  I would wait another week or so before contacting them for another one.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Others in this thread have had just totally random wait times for notices.  I don't think anyone got them all at the same time.  Times are varying wildly from just a few days to nearly a month for no obvious reasons.  Also, although online it says all our letters were sent the same day, our extension and online code were actually mailed from Southern California and the biometrics notice was mailed from Kentucky a week later.   All with Missouri return addresses.   Unless there is an immediate need I wouldn't count any September letters missing just yet.

Is there any reference on needing the original?

Well, My bio-metrics is on 17th and I haven't received any mails yet except for the online access code. does anyone know if the mail doesn't arrive can I print the bio and use it at my Bio appointment?

It took us 22 days to receive the actual biometric appointment letters in the last mail delivery before the actual appointment.  So yours may still be coming.  But we were pretty certain they would have taken the printed online notice at the ASC if they didn't come.

There have been a couple cases where a copy was accepted.  However, I don't recommend it.

Did anyone got their case sent to NBC? If so what is the processing time?

We are at NBC too.  Looking at recent approvals here is seems they are all over the place but quite a few just a little over a year.

Yea.  I noticed that after the fact when I followed up on a few timelines.   Apparently a glitch in visa journey's timeline feature????  Apparently it's not so clear to search recent I-751 approvals here for NBC.  I don't see where USCIS is clear on it either.  It seems conventional wisdom is that NBC is a preparation zone for cases that will transfer to local offices for interviews for I-751 or N-400.  We are at NBC and N-400 how I see our case eventually settling.

9/11/2023 Package delivered to Phoenix lockbox

9/13/2023 myUSCIS status update: Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Sent

9/15/2023 Check cashed

9/22/2023 Extension Letter received (dated 9/16); myUSCIS status update: Biometrics Appointment was Scheduled

10/02/2023 Biometrics notice received

10/11/2023 Biometrics appointment scheduled

Just wanted to revive this thread and say that we’re planning to upload some additional “unsolicited evidence” on myUSCIS soon covering the period from submission to the end of the calendar year (i.e. September-December 2023). Depending on how that goes, we’ll decide whether it makes sense to continue to do that quarterly or every 6 months.

Since this option of uploading evidence is available this will be our way of staying organized and having something (hopefully) productive to do with the wait.

Will try to report back here and in the unsolicited evidence thread since I haven’t looked closely at the file size requirements, etc. and how that will affect what we end up submitting and whether it is broken up into multiple files, etc.

This is the first time I'm learning about unsolicited evidence. What exactly is this useful for? Does it speed up the process in any way? Thanks!

My timeline:

Dec-2020: I-485, I-765, and I-131 filed
Aug-2021: I-485 biometrics appointment
Sep-2021: EAD + AP card delivered
Oct-2021: I-485 interview
Dec-2021: Conditional Green Card delivered
