Good evening everyone,

Sorry if this has been ask…I searched and couldn’t find this question….

Did anyone fill out the question number 10 about if you are not the petitioner you have to write your name and sign it?  I am the spouse so I’m thinking I don’t have to fill this part out, but since I’m not the petitioner, seems like I will have to. Plus I wrote the cover letter like I filled out the form I-751.

10. Part 10. Contact Information, Statement, Certification, and Signature of the Person Preparing this Petition, If Other Than the Petitioner. This section must contain the signature of the person who completed your petition, if other than you, the petitioner. If the same individual acted as your interpreter and your preparer, that person should complete both Part 9. and Part 10….

I-751 is typically filled and filed by the immigrant (lawful permanent resident). The immigrant is the petitioner and the beneficiary for I-751.

The US citizen spouse (if LPR filing jointly) signs and dates part 8 questions.

There's nothing else required from US citizen spouse in this form.

Thanks for your response. I filled out the question 8 and signed it. But since I’m the one that completed/prepared the form do I need to fill out question 10 as well?

I'm surprised people have been getting approvals. I was almost certain my wife was going to get naturalized before we ever hear back.

I think so far my wife is the only one in this group already approved.  She just filed N400 today.  I would assume many others in this group will be eligible to file N-400 soon.

No update on the case status but I did upload four more months' worth of unsolicited evidence to myUSCIS today, making it now a year's worth of additional evidence that we've submitted since filing.

I've heard from some callers on Jim Hacking show USCIS sent them RFE despite providing everything they had. Then the callers didn't know what else to send. There's a school of thought saying you can file the strongest case and then not submit anything else. If USCIS RFE, then you can confidently reply with 1 year or more of new evidence.

If you already sent new evidence, they can approve it without asking for anything else, or they can be sneaky and still issue RFE to which you'd have to reply.

If I was you, I'd keep some evidence up my sleeve.

Noted, I don’t think we’ll have any shortage of evidence to provide regardless.

Oh yeah also wanted to add I totally half-assed everything lol. I rushed to get the I-751 out so she can get her extension letter and didn't really add too much evidence to it. In fact I'm pretty sure I just reprinted the evidence package for the i-485 lol. Figured they would send an RFE but never got anything. Same with the N-400.

The interview got a little nervous because the officer pulled me in separately before her and started asking me questions, I guess he liked my answers because after a couple minutes it ended up just being us yapping about thinks completely irrelevant to the applications. Wife's interview was also very relaxed as well. In fact for the civic questions he only asked her 3 or 4 and was like "okay, we'll just move on here". After that he came back out, shook our hands and told us he'll get us the oath ceremony scheduled with his supervisor and were all done
