Travelling through US after k1 was cancelled years ago

Will this be an issue at all? I'm thinking no, since even people who are pending can visit no problem.

Context:

Back in 2021, a written request (from the petitioner) was made to cancel the I129F visa (it got approved to NOA2 stage at the time). Fast forward til now, heading to asia for a month long trip but need to go from Canada to US to Asia. Hoping it won't be a problem. I also have a copy of the termination letter on my phone in case they ask. Just wondering if they will question or give me a hard time at all.

Possibly

Even if I have to go through Chicago and then LA before going to Asia? I thought it would operate similarly to when I go to USA from Canada and it gives me a B2 visa

This has nothing to do with your original question, but no, Canadians are generally not issued visas by the U.S. When you travel as a visitor to the U.S. your are admitted on a B status. Status and visa are different things.

This is a B visa:

"Possibly"

Even with the termination letter in hand? I mean i understand this is probably up to the officer. Just wondering what else I can possibly do to make this transit a smooth one. I'm guessing not much else.

Thank you on the clarification of the B2 visa. I guess I was confused because all the other times i entered US from Canada (as a citizen), they always stamped a "B2" visa on my passport.

You asked if you would be questioned or given a hard time.

If things get to the point where you are showing that letter, we have reached questioning, and hard time, correct?

The word “visa” was literally stamped on your passport?

I suppose so. I guess I feel like if it could be solved with a piece of paper, it is still relatively okay. But yes of course, will be hoping i'd have an even easier time then!

Well no. It looks like this: https://azitalaw.com/2016/06/extending-us-visitor-visa/ (Exactly like that I should say). It is stamped onto the "Visas" portion of the passport. I've maybe entered US over 50x in the years preceding the k1 process, and sure enough, I got a stamp each time I flew.

Yes actual visas go onto pages labeled visas. But just because a label says visas does not mean things other than visas cannot go there.

Entry stamps are not visas. BTW, the U.S. is getting rid of entry stamps, and good riddance.

~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to Tourist Visas forum as the question is about visiting the US and being admitted as a visitor ~~

You have to remember that only US citizens and LPRs are guaranteed entry into the US. I personally do not think you would have issues.

Carry the letter with you, but the chances of them asking about it are slim to none.

Don't lie to border patrol but don't offer up information unless asked. Since you have a connecting flight, I can't imagine them giving you any hassle at all.
