My K1 fiance came in to the US on Jan 17th  and we got married on Feb 2nd.  Im looking to get her SSC at the local SSA. Im planning on getting it with her maiden name so it'll match her Thai Passport that were useing for her ID until we get her green card. My question is on the SS Application question 5- Citizenship check one- choices are:

1-US Citizen

2-Legal Alien Allowed to work

3-Legal Alien NOT allowed to work (see instructions on page 3)

4-Other (see instructions on page 3)

The instructions state:

5- If you check legal alien NOT alllowed to work or Other you must provide a document from a federal state or local government agency that explains why you need a SS Number and that you meet all the requirement's for the government benefit.

so. My question is what is the document were supposed to have if we check number 3 or Other. ??

My assumption is since we are K1 an my step daughter is K2 we will check number 4 Other.. correct..
