HOW LONG DOES THE EMBASSY ISSUE THE VISA AFTER SUBMITTING A MISSING DOCUMENT?

It is very frustrating that the missing document that they asked is a proof of the petitioner's citizenship when the visa category is F2B (son /daughter of a legal permanent resident over 21 years old) which simply means that the petitioner is not a US citizen. Her green card copy was uploaded on CEAC and even was carried physically.

Any thoughts on this?

Check how you completed the I 130

Anyone have thoughts on this, is very appreciated. Thanks!

In the letter attached (221 letter), it mentions to do the following.

1. Plese scan all the documents marked with an asterisk into the appropriate category level through CEAC and submit original documents, but there is nothing under with an asterisk?

2. Please submit all the documents marked below and your passport.

so, I am assuming the one with a checked mark which is a proof petitioner's naturalization (naturalization certificate or US passport copy, but how can we do that when the petitioner is green card holder, that is why this petition is F2B?

Anyone, have thoughts about this, do you think a consul can make a mistake? Am I just going to just submit a letter explaining that the petitioner is not a Us citizen and attached a copy of her green card? or perhaps attached also a copy of the joint sponsor's proof of citizenship if they made a mistake? What is frustrating is that all of these updated documents are uploaded and submitted per instructions, and although it is not under the joint sponsors name because they never added the joint sponsors name even ifi requested four times. Anyone? It is confusing.

HI!

While thinking about my brothers interview yesterday, of why a consul will ask for something that it can never found in the documents, perhaps she is probably thinking that my mother is already a US citizen and that my brother retained his F2B status, but this is not the case. It is just unfair that all the documents a=were complete and the consul still is looking for something that is not even applicable to the case. So, responded with a letter o explanation that petitioner is still a legal permanent resident and attaching it with a copy of the petitioner's green card copy. It frustrating because even this document was uploaded and physically was brought during interview. I hope that they will correct this and released the visa.

Thank you, Boiler!

Sept. 1,2023 Friday, Philippines time- Visa interview appointment, refused and was asked to produce a proof of petitioner's naturalization certificate or US passport. (Confused as the applicant is as an F2B beneficiary and the petitioner is still a green card holder, so there is no way that we can produce the only document that they are asking.

Sept. 2, 2023, Saturday Philippine time - Wrote a letter explaining the situation back to the US embassy along with a copy of the refusal letter, original passport, and a copy of the petitioner's legal permanent resident, and that submission form per instructions.

Sept. 3, 2023, Sunday

Sept. 4, 2023, Monday (Holiday. Labor Day)

Sept. 5, 2023, Tuesday LBC parcel enroute.

Sept. 6, 2023, Wednesday LBC parcel received.

Sept 7, 2023, Thursday CEAC visa status was updated to ISSUED.

note: I am very happy when I saw that the status is changed issued, am right of thinking that he is going to receive his visa soon? I hope. I also was happy that it did not wait that longer for the status to be updated as it was not really our fault.

Hello!

September 12,2023: During picking up his parcel, I asked him to check for correctness so that if there are errors like misspellings or if the dates are off it can be sent back right away while they are still at LBC office, but thanks God! everything checked out okay.

In this day we accomplished three things, the second one is paying the immigration fee bill of $220.00. And the third one was that we were able to register him online for PDOS (Pre departure seminar) at CFO, office, And Wow! the earliest and one slot available was September 25, 2023. Next will be flight searching. Thank you, Chancy, as you were able to help me decide with that confusing important thing that I needed to do during the processing of this visa. When you suggested that we can just download documents under other documents of the petitioner. Even if my heart was crashed when he was asked to produce a document that does not existed. God bless!
