I read a post on here recently where someone had to do random testing for alcohol for one year before they’d pass them on the medical. I believe it was due to some criminal charges involving alcohol, but I can’t remember the exact circumstances—I’ll try to find the post and will link if I do. Of course, these could be totally different circumstances, but just be prepared that this is a possibility.

I know there’s nothing I can do, I’m just asking. On Reddit people with crimes of moral turpitude were granted visas, so I just wanted to see if anyone with a drink driving charge got a visa. That’s for the help. Hopefully the person doing her medical sees she doesn’t have an alcohol problem

Yes and that is extremely frustrating. Just know that after all we went through, my husband got his visa and we currently are happy living in Florida. 😊

It's not that your wife needs to prove she doesn't have a drinking problem.  When they ask her the last time she had any type of alcoholic drink, she must say it has been over a year. We are going through something similar and if we had been advised by our attorney on how to answer the questions at Visa Medical, my husband would have his visa right now. The embassy questions were a breeze...

I remember being asked that question and said moderate and social. That was it.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

So your attorney advised him to lie to the physician, and you’re advising people here to do the same?
