Hi, I have I130 approved .

I faced adjustment of status interview ( I 485) in Dallas field office on May 2022 but haven’t got any decision yet.

Recently I contacted USCIS and they told me that my case is now with National Benefit Center ( NBC) .
could anybody explain why my case has been transferred from field office to NBC
Thanks

You had an AOS interview in May of 2022 with no decision yet?  Usually the package goes to the NBC when they are ready to do something about your case.

Good Luck!

@Dashinka , thanks for the reply.
No , unfortunately I do not have any decision although my AOS interview was on May 2022.
So , do the final decision comes from Field office or the NBC
I thought that since my interview was in Dallas field office they should be giving out the decision instead of transferring the case back to NBC . Let me know please.

I am not certain.  I know when my wife had her I751 interview, the case was then transferred back to the NBC and the approval letter came from there.  It may be that your case finally had some movement, and if that movement is approval, maybe the case needs to go to NBC to trigger the card production.  It could also mean there is an issue with your case (possible given the timeline) and it needs to go back to NBC for further background checks.  Without knowing more of the details as to why your case is more than a year from your interview, it is hard to say why it was transferred.
