I'm going to provide my supporting documents as well as a co-sponsor's. My question is regarding the income tax forms needed to support the I-134. I'm self-employed & will be sumbitting my 2006 income tax statement. My co-sponsor works for a company and will be providing the same.

The interview will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. I don't want to get there and then have them ask for past statements prior tp 2006, so I'd like to know now if I'll need additional tax return statements for years prior to 2006 or not. Or is one 12-month bank statement and one 2006 income tax return sufficient?

Any one with experience in this matter, especially in Thailland, I'd be very interested in hearing what the Embassy requested at the interview.

Get IRS transcripts, the simple ones, you can order them on the phone for free.

http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.
  • Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  • Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

Self employed wont have paystubs or employer letter, you can attach a copy of past few months bank statements.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
