Clarification on Checking Case Status - "myuscis" and "case status online"

I would like to confirm with everyone that, the I-751 case cannot be tracked within myuscis.gov. Instead, tracking is only possible through the Receipt Number, which is provided on the Notice of Action after sending the I-751 packet.

 

Can anyone verify if this is correct?

Just want to confirm that this has nothing to do with having to create a myuscis.gov account to generate this Online Account Number for the sake of submitting I-751.

I-751 can be tracked with the https://my.uscis.gov/ site, with the number given on your Notice Of Action after they receive your case (which I think is what you were saying above). You can add it to the account and it will be tracked.

 

I never quite understood what the USCIS Account Number was for and never put it on the form and they didn't seem to have a problem with it. From what I understood, the USCIS Account Number is not the same thing as the Notice of Action number, but I could never find a straight answer explaining how to get one.
