IR5 pending for review status since 6 months - islamabad embassy

The consulate told my mother that she fulfilled all the visa requirements and will get her visa in 10 days and hold her passport in march 03 this year.

After sometime and continuous check I found they put her on pending for review status. Its been 6 months now and still they are saying pending for 

review. Tried asking congress representative for followup with the embassy but nothing happened. What should be the next step?. Can we do any expedite request? .

Nope. You will wait until they have finished whatever reviewing  they are doing

With a consent to release form signed to your Congress Rep,  he /she could inquire and WOULD GET  the same answers u get

 

The embassy is doing the extra security checks often done on persons from your country

Till the checks are finished, nothing will happen and u just wait

there is no expedite at this stage

 

When they are done,  a new medical will more than likely be needed as the other will expire
