N400 application while sponsoring

Hello,

If someone is able to apply for naturalization, but they're also sponsoring their adult child's green card application, will their naturalization process affect their child's green card application?

Apologies ahead of time if this is confusing. Let me give names. Morticia is a current GR holder. Morticia is sponsoring her adult child, Fester, for an adjustment of status for his green card. Fester's AOS/GC is still processing. If Morticia were to begin the naturalization process (she's been a GC holder for over ten years), will this affect her son, Fester's, application?

Thank you!

If their children are under age 21, naturalizing will

* reduce a wait of over decade to 2 years

* make it impossible for children of their children to immigrate with their patents

In the United States. Currently being sponsored through employment. So he's going through AOS

Ok, so Fester is over 21.

1) You didn't answer the question - what is his current status? H1b?

2) He has an approved i140 through work, and has he already filed an i-485 through work? Does he have work based EAD?

3) what is the priority date of Fester's i-130?
