Why was it sent to the FPU?  There is really nothing you can do other than check the CEAC status for now.

Was she interviewed?  What was the subject?

Do I understand correctly?

You and your wife were interviewed at the embassy?

Were you interviewed together or separately?

Have you compared the questions each of you were asked and the answers you gave (if interviewed separately)?

Is she a much older woman?   Sounds like you’ve got some bright red flags and they suspect marriage fraud.

Are you divorced from someone local?

That's good news at least.

If they still have your passport it could be better news.

Advice is for your wife (the US citizen) to email Nigerian consulate and the FPU (if she has that email) to ask what is happening.

But, the only thing you can do is wait now.

Hopefully they will issue the visa soon.

As there are no apparent issues re: the questions answers if the visa is ultimately sent back to USCIS for revocation there is nothing you can do now but wait.

her looks are not the issue

What is the age difference?

would u marry someone in Nigeria if she was an older woman?

the one other case i can bring up on  VJ  the woman was 31 years older and had divorced 4 times,,  had 5 kids from age 8 to 29

(Stevin back in 2013)

LIke asked already "What were the questions the CO asked?"

u have had 3 interviews and 1 was the Stokes interview  and now u must wait to see if case will be approved or sent back to the USA

the CO should have discussed what went wrong in 1st interview and then asked the same questions of u both in separate sessions to see if there are any discrepancies that would indicate the marriage is not bona fida

When marrying someone older there is more than age difference/ u have different tastes in music, films,  age of freinds,  taste in clothes/its hard enough with a cultural difference without adding age

did your Nigerian family approve?

Did your USC spouse add u to Tax returns as married?

Did she and u start to commingle assets?

Did you show her family approved of marriage?

Did u proclaim love quickly?

Did u marry on 1st meet?

How many trips to be together have been made?

there  really is nothing to do done but wait

Is your wife a Nigerian born citizen or US born Citizen?

If Nigerian, how did she obtain her US citizenship? Specifically, was it through Marriage to a US born citizen?

If through marriage to a US born citizen, did the two of you know each other prior to her getting married to a US born citizen?
