Processing time has passed my date, still no response?

Hello,

My application received date from USCIS is July 29th 2022. I see that they are currently processing applications from July 31st 2022 based on the Visa journey processing times, which is obviously after my application.

Is there a reason I have not received a response yet? Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Visa journey dates are self reported and do not reflect actual USCIS processing times. Also USCIS does not work in order. You can check processing times on the USCIS website for an estimate - please fill your timeline so we can help you better.

Hmm doesn't USCIS say they work on applications in the order they are received?

Nothing interesting to note on the timeline, NOA1 was on July 29th and waiting on NOA2 which is approaching 13 months 😢

that's what they want to believe they are doing. unfortunately what USCIS said and do is not in sync.

they do whateva they want, and sometimes they do LIFO ( last in first out) instead of FIFO ( first in first out)

According to USCIS, your case is processing normally. The earliest you can submit an inquiry for an outside normal processing time is March 6, 2024. This is all found on https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ and if you scroll down you can input your NOA1 date to see the above message. At this time, there’s nothing to do but wait.

VJ is not accurate

When tomorrow starts without me..

please try to understand, That an Angel came and called

my name, and took me by the hand; The angel said my

place was ready, In Heaven far above, And that I'd have

to leave behind all those I dearly love. But when I walked

through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home, for God

looked down, smiled at me, And told me "Welcome Home."

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me,

I'm right there in your heart.

Visa Journey is not affiliated with USCIS in any way.  The data here is self-reported, so best to rely on official USCIS data.

USCIS.gov processing times for I-129F is currently 16.5 months.

Applications are processed roughly by receipt date.  The difference between 7/29 and 7/31 is not significant.

Some people send a metric ton of unrequired papers (chat logs, etc), and that can extend processing time as the adjudicator has to weed through it all.

Appreciate the info. We're approaching our 13th month so I'm hoping that timeline will also be the case for us, sooner the better of course.

I'm a little confused about one thing, VJ gets it's information from users timelines, so I'd assume it's pretty close to accurate...

Which would mean either that it takes the adjudicator multiple days to work on a case or that USCIS does not work on cases in the order received like Verrou has mentioned.

Like I said, it's not an exact science.  Some petitions have issues and take much longer to adjudicate.  Some get RFEs, have background check issues, criminal/arrest history, name hits in databases, eligibility issues, etc.  It's not a straightforward, linear process.  And some adjudicators are faster than others.

"Accurate" is relative as well.  Yes, VJ processing projections come from user timelines, but again, is that official data?  No, it isn't.  It's reported data.  Big difference.

If others are getting approved at 13 months, that's great.  But until USCIS revises their processing time for that form, I'd plan on it taking closer to 16 months.
