Good day

My Husband has to visit the Moroccan Consulate in NY to renew his Moroccan ID card, as they don't do it by mail like they do the passport renewals.

His Passport also just expired, so will get that done there also instead of my mail.

Anyone can suggest a reasonably price hotel near the consulate?,    Anyone ever had to do what we need to do there?

We are Planning on going week of Nov. 6-9 for a few days.

Also, any idea of how long of a process this is? , I'm hoping its quick process at the consulate, but the ID card can take up to 8 weeks to receive back .

Thank you

Search your Hotel close to the Moroccan Consulate in New York

When you need to find a place to stay close to the Moroccan consulate we provide a handy hotel search box for accommodation in a hotel or guesthouse in New York, the United States.

the consulate is in Manhattan and nothing will be cheap

i know there is a Mariott and a Hotel Suites by Hilton

u'll still need to take a taxi from hotel to embassy

If u r driving up the big expense is parking so make sure the hotel has free parking for quests

and u do need an appointment

The old application ,  passport photos,  and other required documents will be mailed and processed in Morocco so take self addressed stamped envelopes to get them mailed back to u from the US embassy/  it took us about 6 weeks  total to get the new passport

incha allah

Best bet is to stay in a Brooklyn hotel and take the subway in the morning to get to the consulate.

They open at 10:00.

Watch for the Moroccan holidays.
