I requested to pickup the passport with the visa instead of them delivering it through the mail. How long is the waiting time for it to be ready for pickup? I gave myself two more days in Bogota after the interview? Am I kidding myself that it will be that fast?

Possibly.  Is the visa applicant Colombian?  If so, when did the Embassy tell you it would be ready when they approved your request to pick it up?

It usually takes a minimum of 24 hours to get all of the security checks, etc. processed after the interview.  The visa can only be printed after that.

Generally allow 10 working days. So to answer your last question: yes.

I am actually having the biometrics completed today and having the interview on Monday.

There was another fellow that was in the same boat as me that had it ready for pick up after 48 hours and that's why I made the hotel booking for two more days after and I don't mind staying a few more days. I just don't trust the postal service here in Colombia and I would just feel more better to physically pick it up myself. It's just that I live in Medellin and the pickup is in Bogota. The plane ticket is not that expensive to fly to Bogota. Like 45 round trip. If it's not ready then I may have to go home and wait and then just send the wife to Bogota later on to retrieve it
