Hey everyone.
So I have this problem. My husbands case was approved (YAY!!) and we’re now waiting for the welcome letter from NVC. Unfortunately our daughters case is still in USCIS since I’ve submitted her petition almost 11 months after my husbands case. My fault, I thought I only had to write down her name in my husbands petition, turned out I was supposed to file a separate one for her. Do I have my husbands case wait in NVC until our daughters case catches up, or is there a way to synchronise their cases later on so that they could go to the interview together? All three of us are living outside the U.S.A currently. Was anyone in the same situation?

1.  Hold your husband's case at NVC by NOT paying fees and NOT submitting documents.

2.  Immediately contact USCIS and request an expedite for child's case.

3.  Once child's case gets to NVC, pay fees and submit documents for both cases.  Ask NVC and consulate to join cases.

We have seen this situation many times. Good luck.

Are you a US citizen?  Is your daughter your biological child?

Yes and yes, but due to the fact that I haven’t lived in the states for two years after I turned 14 she won’t get her citizenship :(
