The only time I've seen this in actual use has been with people from China and Taiwan that may have both a Chinese and an English name - in those cases they can get an AKA note stamped/written on one of the passport pages. I have not seen this with US passports, AFAIK people in that situation typically pick one of the names and stick with that on all official documentation.

For the US passport they actually add your “also known as” right next to your real name which is really helpful for me

The US doesn't seem to "do" hyphens.

Kid1 & Kid2 have hyphenated last names and none of their US ID has the hyphen, despite it being included on all paperwork.  Their birth certificates and Canadian passports do.

Just wondering where the AKA name shows up? Is it in the Amendments and Endorsements (last) page or the main biographical data (first) page?
