Download most recent version of adobe reader. Install it. Download the pdf and open it in adobe reader.

Some of these forms are a bit messed up and won't let you fill out a given field, where you've got two options: pen it in, or break the security on it. Breaking security is a bit legally gray but you won't be using the form for anything it wasn't meant for so nobody would care.

 Adobe wants me to subscribe Adobe Acrobat DC Pro in order to fill this form up no matter what...

Will be easier to use a computer than a tablet.  I strongly suggest you try to use a computer instead.  Public libraries are good resources, if you do not have your own at home.

I did use the computer as well and problem is still the same. I think its about what apps we have on the computer/tablet because some have better apps than others.... Tablets do allow most of the work that computers allow but we need apps to tackle this kinda problem, I guess. Am I right?

Most users are able to fill the forms without experiencing too many problems, so the hiccup is probably on the side of your computer/tablet.

You might want to reinstall the latest version of Adobe Reader, and make sure to open the forms in Adobe, not in your browser.

Downloading and Printing Immigration Forms

We provide free fillable forms through our website in PDF format, which means you can type your answers directly on the form instead of printing a blank form and writing your answers by hand.

For the best results, we suggest you download the PDF to your computer and complete the form using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader rather than completing the PDF through your web browser. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free from the Adobe website.

Download Instructions

After opening the form in your web browser:

  • In Microsoft Edge, click the Save icon (second from the right) in the ribbon at the top of the page, or press Ctrl (or Command ) and S on your keyboard. After saving the form to your computer, click on the form icon to reopen it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • In Google Chrome or Firefox, click the Download icon (second from the right) in the ribbon at the top of the page or press Ctrl (or Command) and S on your keyboard. After saving the form to your computer, click on the form icon to reopen it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
    • The Chrome extension might be on if, when using Google Chrome, you see this error message: “An error occurred. An error was encountered while processing the file. Some features might not work.”

You can remove or disable the Chrome extension by following these steps:
1.    Open Chrome;
2.    Click the ellipsis in the right corner;
3.    Click Settings;
4.    Select “Extensions”; and
5.    Remove or turn off the Chrome extension on the “Adobe Acrobat: PDF edit, convert, sign tools” tab.

  • In Safari, open the form, hover your mouse toward the bottom-center of the screen to bring up the gray icon, and click the Download icon on the right corner of the gray icon, or press Command and S on your Mac keyboard. After saving the form to your computer, click on the form icon to reopen it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If you are required to sign the form , you must print the document and write your signature by hand before submitting your form. We will not accept a stamped or typewritten name in place of a signature.

Warning: Many non-USCIS websites also offer immigration forms for downloading. These sites may also ask you to pay for immigration forms (which are available for free on our website) and may not have the correct form version. In some circumstances, your case may be delayed or rejected  if you use an outdated form. You can find the latest version any USCIS form on our Forms page.

If all else fails, take a look at SmallPDF.com -- it's a great site for multiple purposes, and they have a free trial for 7 or 14 days.  I registered for a monthly subscription, and it's been worth every penny.  You can compress documents that are too large, convert from one document format to another, etc.

Disclaimer:  My only connection to that website is as a happy customer.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If your computer’s PDF app lets you add a text field anywhere as Mac Preview does, you can do anything you want.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

This doesn’t work with iPads.I just tried it on my tablet. it states you need to use Adobe Acrobat for Mac or Windows.  You need to use a computer OR if you can only use your iPad use Adobe Fill &Sign. It is also an adobe product.
