Quick question, My mother's case has been stuck in administrative processing for 8 months. Her case was originally in Jerusalem but was transferred to Cairo and she did the interview in Cairo back in December. One major requirement of the Jerusalem embassy is to submit a police report. but I could not get one. Now, I have the opportunity to get the police report. But it has to be done via a lawyer and he is expensive. Would the police report help resolve the AP?

If the reason they can not issue the visa is due to them waiting for the Police Report then yes.

How do I find out? Will the Embassy let me know? The slip my mother got after the interview was a generic message.

You do not know what documents you submitted

I submitted all required documents except the police report. They did not ask for it. but on NVC site it says documents still missing.

Obviously the police report is required, and you will not get a visa without it.

Today the government responded to our case and asked for motion to dismiss. This is after 15 months of being in AP.

I can't say I am surprised as this was something we knew was coming. Its just very tiresome to be in AP for 15 months. Our Lawyer said he will fight back and hopes we will have an answer in the next few months.

Hello my husband has been in AP in Amman Jordan since October 2023. We have had a baby and pregnant again but this embassy has no empathy they do not even respond to my inquiries. Has anyone successfully gotten out of AP by emailing or calling or using a lawyer? We need advice we are desperate it is almost a year.

It's nothing to do with the consulate any longer, they don't process AP.

AP can't be expedited but you can file a WoM if you want to try and force them to make a decision.
