That 90 day window is the EARLIEST you can apply.  There is no end of the filing period.  You can file any time after the window opens as long as you maintain the other filing requirements.  I have asked the friendly mods to move this to the proper forum.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thanks for the quick response, I’m actually part of the august 2022 I-751 filers lol

No, unlike the I751 where you must file within the 90 day window, the N400 is optional, and a personal choice, and as @Former stated, the 90 day N400 window is one sided and only represents the earliest filing date.  If your desire is to naturalize, sure go ahead and file after your window opens up.
