Been kinda stuck in the green card filing stage for a while (several months now) and I had a few questions before resubmitting our application:

1.) If I'm filling out the i864, and I have a job but just started the job and haven't even received my first paycheck yet, is it still fine to put that job down for my place of employment if I happen to know what my annual salary would be? Or would I need to already have earned that salary amount in order to put it on my i864?

2.) How much do I need for make if I'm just sponsoring my wife for the Green card?

3.) Is it quicker to just ask them to send a social security number for my wife through the green card application or employment authorization form, or can I just walk into a local social security office and have my wife apply for a social security number?

I'm really ready to get this Green card process behind me and it has been dragging out for far too long.

K1 sorry

What do you mean "several months"?  Is she out of status?

It isn't wise to delay sending in the AOS packet....

I didn't. We submitted the packet several months ago thinking we had everything they wanted in it. It's just that they sent it back saying that we had to do a few extra things that turn out to be taking kinda longer than anticipated.

That should be fine

https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p
125% one for household of 2

keep in mind that it’s preferred you make well over that amount as 24k is very little, especially if you live in an expensive state/city

This should have been done as soon as she arrived in the US, even before marriage or AOS application. K1s have 75 days out of 90 days to apply for one. Unfortunately, it is too late now. You will have to wait until she received either an EAD or GC.

Is there any way we can get them to move faster with the EAD because it doesn't seem like there was an issue with that. It just seems like they're waiting for the fixed application so they can process everything together.

The only way I know is to request an expedite if you have a job offer letter. Other than that, no. You just wait

So is there any way to get someone to talk to on the phone with USCIS? I get they probably receive a large volume of calls but I really need to talk with someone at this point.

I have but I'm saying is there a way to talk to a representative rather than a machine because I couldn't reach a rep

I believe you need to say “info pass” and that might allow you to talk to someone.

just checking did the entire package get returned to you without a i797 (now)

And/or
did you receive an RFE that needed to be replied before a certain date?

Well, but you did, because if they sent back the entire package, she has not been in a period of authorized stay, as she would have been had they accepted the forms.   SSN should have been applied for prior to marriage.  Now it will probably take as long as the EAD/AP.
