Update  on my application

Had my interview 1:15 pm today at Montgomery Alabama. I got approved and the Oath will be November 3 in my home town not at their field office but a courthouse.

The officer didn't ask me any other evidence except to my Green card. He asked my 6 questions only since I corrected all of it.

The questions were:

What is emancipation of proclamation do?

Who was the Vice President of USA?

Name one of the longest river in US

How many years is the president term?

How many years the House of Representatives be elected?

Who is Benjamin Franklin

It was easy and quick interview only took 10 mins.

Hope you all have a great day…

feels like he / she was bored and so wanted to go home! lol damn easy questions i might add. But i am glad it was an smooth Interview for you.

So I had my citizenship interview last Oct 26 and I got approved. Thank God! Waiting on the oath schedule. Normally, how long does it take before they schedule one or upload the schedule letter?

Finally, an update! My status changed from 8 months until case decision to 7 months.

I filed early under the 3-year rule and I am eligible for citizenship on November 3rd.

Definitely seems promising! A bunch of us got interviews scheduled within a week of the status changing. Hope it's the same with you!

No updates on my case (other than the decrease in the estimated time of decision with the new month). My 3-year anniversary is also coming soon (Nov. 5), hoping we all have interviews scheduled in the next few days! 🤞

Had my Oath Taking ceremony today at 10 am in a District Courthouse. It was an amazing experienced and feeling during the whole hours of process. With 41 people got their Naturalization from 20 different countries around the world make you feel good and proud for finishing this visa journey from K1 to N400. The entire room was joyful and excited for the ceremony. I think I like the ambiance inside the courthouse better hehehehe it’s very solemn and professionally prepared by USCIS and the court employees and the Judge. After the oath we all sign up to register to vote.

Goodluck to all of you and Congratulations on your coming approvals and oath ceremony.

May I ask how long was the actual ceremony from entering the building to going back home? Ours is scheduled for 7:15am and we have a flight at 1pm that day. I'm just wondering if I should move the flight to the later one just in case.
Thanks and congratulations!

Hello fellow August 2023 N-400 fillers!

I applied under 3 year rule (marriage-based) on 08/15/23, 6 days after my 90 day window has started. My full 3 years will be completed on 11/09/23. I also have I-751 pending since September 2022 with no updates other than biometric reuse and 48-month extension letter.

N-400 filed online and received NOA and Biometric reuse the same day (08/15). I then forgot about it, but since checking this thread and seeing majority get their interviews I got in the habit of checking my USCIS account twice a week. My estimated case decision went from 7 months to 5 within a few weeks, and then dropped to 4 beginning of November. Logged in today and saw that it’s back to 7 months.

I’m slightly worried. Although, I know these time frames don’t mean much, but has anyone experienced similar? I also am hopeful now that my 90 early fill date is coming to an end, I should expect some movement on my case soon. Would love to hear what people think!

Very similar situation here. Filed in early August as soon as my 90-day window opened, based on the 3 year rule (with a pending i751).

On November 1 my estimated case decision time went down to 4 months, yesterday I checked and it went up to 6 months.

I wasn’t exactly relying on this data since it looks like cases are being processed faster, but the number going up makes me wonder if we’re hitting a wall and the backlog has increased even more.

A lot of people in this thread already had their 10 year GC, which makes the process smoother, but I did see a few in similar situation having their interview scheduled before their 3 year anniversary…
