Time for NVC processing after I-129F approval

Hi all, our I-129F was approved on 6/19/23 and we have still not received anything from the NVC. The letter said it should be processed within 4 weeks - are they just delayed right now? I submitted an inquiry through the NVC's system on 8/1 and received an automatic reply that it had been received but nothing sincer.

Also, was there some step we missed in terms of sending forms? The letter says we just wait until processing, then are assigned an interview time, and while waiting for that time to come it was my impression we'd complete any required forms as well as medical exams, etc. Is that how it works?

Thanks,

If you search the forums for the Fed-ex hack, there is a way to watch for your case being transferred to the embassy in Bangkok from the NVC, then you will kinda have an idea when you may hear from the embassy. For Thailand you have to be proactive. You have to schedule your own interview and medical for the K1. But don't wait for the welcome letter from NVC, those are kinda hit and miss. Watch your case status for it to say ready. Then you can download packets 3 and 4 from the US embassy website for Bangkok, it has all the steps and what you need to do and bring. You should be able to pull off an interview within a month of the embassy receiving your packet if you have things ready to go. Go review the steps at the embassy page and be ready to fill out the DS-160, and then you can get into the scheduling system. The tough part is getting the interview scheduled, but if you check a few times a day, you can usually snag a spot pretty easily. And the medical is easy to schedule with a phone call, and they usually have plenty of availability.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know of a post that has the info on the Fed-ex hack? I looked for a bit in these forums but couldn't find anything.

One other question, where do I go to check the case status ahead of receiving the NVC welcome packet?

Also, for anyone else reading the thread, I heard back today from the NVC inquiry email and was told they never received my I-797 approval notice from USCIS! Has this happened to anyone else and how much should I expect this to delay the overall process?

Try this link you might have to search  nvc fed ex hack, or a mixture of those words. Or even search DHL hack, because I think it's DHL that is used .

Hi, don't need to worry. NVC is taking a longer time now to receive petitions and to create the case and ship them to the embassy.
You were approved in June so it's glad you already got an answer about it being received (my received confirmation only case on day 52, and people before me had to wait up to 70 days for it).

NVC for K1 only works as a stage they review your petition, create a case and ship it to your embassy. No documents are submitted to NVC, no fees are paid to NVC. The wording on the NOA2, NVC inquiry replies and on CEAC can be super confusing because most of it is made for immigrant cases. So it does not apply to us K1s.

I'd say keep inquiring until you get from them a case number. Use the public inquiry and attach your NOA2 and a screenshot of the email that says it was received. Shipping week is next week, Tuesday and Wednesday. And shipment occurs every 2 weeks.
So if your case has been created already, there's a chance you might make it. However, I think you'll only be shipped on the week of the 29th now seeing your NOA2/Received date. I'd say the ones that will be shipped next week are only late May NOA2s and early June NOA2s.

The DHL hack here is just a general idea of packages NVC is sending to embassies. You can't really know if it's your case or not.

I recommend you following this thread below for more info/so you can see what June NOA2s are doing:

There's also the May one so you can check what happened/is happening to May NOA2s:

February 2022 I-129F K1 Case Status Spreadsheet can be found here.
NVC Timelines spreadsheet can be found here.
NOA1:
Feb 22nd, 2022 | NOA2: May 12th, 2023 (444 days) | NVC Received: July 3rd, 2023 (52 days) | Case number: Aug 2nd, 2023 (82 days) | In Transit: Aug 15th, 2023 (95 days)  | Ready: Aug 17th, 2023 | Medical: Sep 22nd, 2023 | Interview: Sep 26th, 2023
