The phishing email contained a fake forward with a hyperlink that directs traffic through an actor-controlled domain before redirecting to the listed domain."

“The events this week in Nashville, Tennessee, are still fresh in our minds.  The thought that a shooter went on the campus of a Christian school, a school for children, little children, this person who went on that campus blasted her way into the building and then took the lives of three, nine-year-old children and three adults… It is heartbreaking to think that we are reliving this scene over and over again where our children who are sent by their loving parents off to school, lunches in hand, never came home,” Durbin began.  “Never came home.”

 

 

I’m going to read the names of these communities into the record, as they should be,” Durbin continued. “Las Vegas, Nevada, 2017, an AR-15 was used, 60 people were killed… Newton, Connecticut, Sandy Hook Elementary School, 2012.  The shooter had an AR-15.  The shooter killed 27 people, including those beautiful little children.”

“[In Highland Park], Fourth of July, 2022, an AR-15, seven killed, dozens wounded, including an eight-year-old boy who will be paralyzed for life.  These are the realities of the AR-15 as it is being used.  It was designed to do just this, kill massive numbers of people, of human beings,” Durbin emphasized.

But when 19 people died in shootings in Chicago alone over July 4th to July 7th, that’s just another holiday weekend in America. Does the Little ####### say a word about that? No.

 

i apologize if this sounds callous and uncaring, but don’t those 19 American citizens deserve the same level of outrage as any other mass homicide event? Yet those politicians clamouring for gun control say nothing. Why?

 

Because Illinois, and Chicago in particular, has among the strictest gun control laws in the country and they do NOTHING to lower the death rate.

 

I am as anti-gun as you can get, but gun legislation is the coward’s way out of an ongoing crisis in America. Single event mass shooting events are statistically insignificant within the overall rate of death by firearm in America and camouflage the real problem, giving the gun control lobby a way to make it seem like they are doing something, when all they are doing is avoiding what needs to be done to make a real difference.

 

The change needs to be socio-economic, to provide a viable alternative to the current circumstances driving the violence, the hustle and get-rich-quick mentality prevalent where the murder rates are highest. It would be a heavy lift for any politician, because there is no obvious political edge to be gained. It would be unpopular and would take character, dedication and a willingness to risk their political career. Which is why career politicians like Little ####### will do NOTHING to address the real issues.

 

Someone needs to read the names of all the murder victims shot in Chicago, New York, Baltimore, St Louis and all the other cities in the USA over the past decade and ask him what he intends to do to prevent their deaths.

 

His silence would be deafening. Because he benefits by doing NOTHING.

But America loves its guns, so a total ban is unrealistic….just yet 😂 ..although there are countries that took drastic measures when faces with just one devastating mass massacre . They banned guns…and guess what…no Chicago  weekend shootout-bangers in their land…

When I read this, I shook  my head in disbelief

• The Republican presidential nominee claimed the crowd at the airport hangar “DIDN’T EXIST” and that “nobody was there” in multiple posts to his Truth Social platform, sharing a post from a right-wing former congressional candidate known for spreading misinformation

 

• The crowd did in fact exist and the rally was attended by thousands of people, many of whom posted their own pictures and videos of the event, which was also live streamed by dozens of news channels and attended by a slew of prominent politicians

• While some AI-generated photos and videos have been circulated in right-wing corners of social media, it appears the photo Trump posted was in fact real, though it’s possible it was digitally edited

“Assault weapons”, which no Democrat can accurately define, according to the last statistics I saw published, account for just under 3% of total gun-related fatalities. An assault weapon ban will not move the needle on the overall fatality rate.

 

And the argument that they didn’t have those back when the 2nd Amendment was drafted is specious at best. The amendment was drafted to enable the populace to resist a tyrannical government. In order to do so, the populace would need parity with those weapons in use by the government. An AR15 is so overmatched in that context that no sane individual should object to their possession by civilians.

What is an "assault weapon"?  Is a knife an assault weapon?  A hammer? An automobile?  I know, all of those have other functions, but they can certainly be used to assault and batter or even kill someone.  My other question is why are Democrats so against self defense?  Who will come to your aid if for some reason you need it?  The police Democrats want to rid of of?  Police are now a reactionary force as any preventative policing has been described as racist by you guessed it Democrats.

 

Yes, mental health is a major issue, and if you dig into the details of the majority of the mass shootings you will find most of them are committed by people on antipsychotic drugs.  Maybe Rudy was right about broken windows, but by following the Democrat path of letting things like mass shoplifting off with nothing, not even a slap on the wrist, people will become more brazen, and personal protection will become a necessity.  I never felt the need to own a gun, but now I am re-thinking that mentality with how the Democrats and their "progressive" ideals are leading us to ruin.
