Attorneys for Donald Trump have sent a cease and desist letter to the filmmakers behind “The Apprentice” in an effort to block its U.S. sale and release. It warns the team behind the film not to pursue a distribution deal, according to two people who have read the letter. “The Apprentice,” which looks at Trump’s early years as a real estate developer and his relationship with Roy Cohn, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week.

“The film is a fair and balanced portrait of the former president,” the producers of the film said in a statement regarding the cease-and-desist letter. “We want everyone to see it and then decide.”

The movie, which was independently produced, stars Sebastian Stan as Trump and Jeremy Strong as Cohn. It presents a damning portrait of the former president as an ethically compromised, philanderer who stiffs contractors and cuts deals with the mob to get his buildings completed. It includes other controversial details, including a scene where Trump rapes his first wife, Ivana, and depicts him abusing amphetamines to lose weight, as well as undergoing liposuction and plastic surgery.

Fair and balanced?  Does anyone believe FoxNews when they say it?  Looking up the writer who wrote the screenplay, Gabriel Sherman, I find it hard to believe it is fair and balanced.

Donald Trump found guilty on all counts in N.Y. hush money trial

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2024/may/30/trump-hush-money-trial-verdict

Donald Trump has been found guilty of using a criminal hush-money scheme to influence the outcome of the 2016 election.

The verdict came after a jury deliberated for less than 12 hours in the unprecedented first criminal trial against a US president.

Trump was convicted by a jury of 12 New Yorkers of felony falsification of business records, which makes it a crime for a person to make or cause false entries in records with the intent to commit a second crime.

In Trump’s case, the Manhattan district attorney’s office alleged Trump falsely recorded the reimbursements he made to his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who paid the adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 for her silence about her affair with Trump, as “legal expenses”. The prosecution alleged the falsifications were made to conceal Trump’s violation of New York state election law, which makes it a crime to promote the election of any person to office through unlawful means.

Prosecutors argued in part that those unlawful means were the $130,000 payment to Daniels, which was in effect an illegal campaign contribution, because it was done solely for the benefit of his 2016 campaign and exceeded the $2,700 individual contribution cap.

It marks a perilous political moment for Trump, the presumptive nominee for the Republican nomination, whose poll numbers have remained unchanged throughout the trial but could tank at any moment.

So does this mean the 2016 election was illegitimate?

Beyond a reasonable doubt on 34 counts should give you some pause to reflect….

Wasn’t it the pre-ordained outcome considering how the judge acted in this case.  What is your prediction on his poll numbers going forward?

Trump supporters call for riots and violent retribution after verdict

Some called for attacks on jurors, the execution of the judge, Justice Juan Merchan, or outright civil war and armed insurrection.
“Someone in NY with nothing to lose needs to take care of Merchan,” wrote one commentator on Patriots.Win. “Hopefully he gets met with illegals with a machete,” the post said in reference to illegal immigrants.
On Gateway Pundit, one poster suggested shooting liberals after the verdict. “Time to start capping some leftys,” said the post. “This cannot be fixed by voting."

WASHINGTON, March 22 (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has made a series of inflammatory and racist statements on the U.S. campaign trail since declaring his candidacy in November 2022.
In some cases, he has used violent imagery to lambaste immigrants and opponents. He has warned that the United States is on the verge of collapse, and his rhetoric has raised concerns that he might flout democratic norms by using the power of the state to target perceived enemies if he is elected.

Here are some of Trump's more controversial statements to date:

If someone in any of these groups are suggesting anything like this, more than likely they are a Fed plant/informant.

If anyone is a blatant racist, it is Old Corrupt Petulant Joe.  His use of terms like "boy", and his failure to remember the name of anyone of color seems like his mind is regressing to the past.  Of course the Dems are worried about the support that Trump seems to be getting particularly from young black men, so now there is a report Trump used a bad word 20 years ago.  Now there is no actual evidence of this, but like many leftist/Dems, we should simply believe them.

Biden steals classified US documents- No prosecution

The TRUMP case judge committed multiple judicial errors.  It is far from over.
