I'm thinking that USCIS is now processing every I-751 application electronically. 

 

I've been reading that these cases have been experiencing faster processing times, but I don't want to get my hopes up. 

I did, I sent my package on 08/11/2023

got my biometric appointment for next Thursday

I got a notification last week saying they were reusing my biometrics. 

 

I remember waiting months for a biometrics appointment during AOS.

I think you're right about that. I filed November 2021 and got approved August 2023.

So good news, bad news - have received an interview date for my N-400 (August 19th) but I am due to be out of the country at that time. Have requested a re-schedule but also making a plan in case that is denied. Will be making sure to take my spouse with me either way just in case they do a combo interview (I-751 still says Actively Reviewing so assuming they will do a combo unless I hear otherwise).

What is your office? Was there any progress on your I-751?

 

I can apply for citizenship in August. Counting the days here...

Your best bet would have been rescheduling the trip, not the interview. The danger is pending I-751... If USCIS doesn't honor the request and deny I-751 and N-40 on original interview date due to no show. Either way, good luck and let us know how it goes!

That's exactly why we're planning around the request being denied/ignored/lost in the mire. But also - you don't ask, you don't get.

USCIS have de-scheduled the interview (got the email of the notice today).

Now to wait for being re-scheduled. Hopefully it's not too many months.
