Lansing — Attorney General Dana Nessel is leveling felony charges against 16 Republicans who signed a certificate falsely stating that Donald Trump won Michigan's 2020 presidential election, launching criminal cases against top political figures inside the state GOP.

Each of the 16 electors, including former Michigan Republican Party Co-Chairwoman Meshawn Maddock and Shelby Township Clerk Stan Grot, have been charged with eight felony counts, including forgery and conspiracy to commit election law forgery, according to Nessel's office

Preliminary consensus from radio talk is that, if the case is tried in D.C., it's 99.44% certain that the verdict will be guilty (even before the case is heard), and at least a 50% possibility of immediate imprisonment.

They really are trying to fire up the Donald Trump Matters movement and create the conditions for rioting in the streets prior to the 2024 election.

I am holding out for legal arguments ..because as we know defendant served self incriminating evidence ( phone, tests, emails , witnesses , interviews, social media) on a silver platter to DOJ.

Just one slight difference. Texeira disseminated the information intentionally. DJT waved a bunch of papers around (which do not feature in the current charges).

 

The use of the espionage act is appropriate in the Texeira case, but a huge stretch in the DJT case, an over-charging scenario that should see him acquitted.

But did you know that for nearly a decade he held the record for the most number of strikeouts? That’s right, he got out at least 1330 times before even making contact with the bal 

The difference here is that Babe Ruth had proven talent. A strikeout for him was no big deal, because 2 or 3 at-bats down the road that ball was going sailing into the stands. The hits more than covered the misses.

 

For Jack Smith, the talent is what is in question. His methods and ethics are questionable, and that runs to his team also. And for him, a strikeout is a really big deal. Unlike baseball, he doesn’t get a second bite at the cherry. If he loses, that’s it.

 

With the documented misdeeds of some of his team already in the public domain, despite this case being nowhere near trial yet, his case is in trouble, even if the facts might back it up.

 

Jack Smith is no Babe Ruth.

You appear to have misunderstood.

 

The “They” being referred to here are law enforcement, government department paramilitaries (EPA and FBI SWAT teams anyone?) and the National Guard, filled by the actual military upon declaration of martial law.

 

Uunlike what happened when BLM and Antifa were the actual rioters.
