These two are pretty petite atm, but who knows if that will change. I'm glad to hear the LR3 works nicely.  I might stick to that one since it is older and the price might go down even more by the time I get one. I'm making the Jedi help out with the cost so it will be awhile. We don't do an allowance so he's not rolling in cash.  He will have to save birthday money and such.

We don't do allowances, either.  Case by case basis - you work (we had Kid1 tiling with us last weekend - said child learned how to use the wet tile saw), we'll pay.  Lazyitus is a real thing though!

I was ready to make a bathmat of the Siamese last night.  Hubs sent me to bed early because I was falling asleep on the sofa.  Bad cat apparently didn't appreciate the choice for dinner so was in, annoying me until hubs came to bed.  She will "love bite" hands and headbutt.  I'd be just about in a deep sleep and she'd wake me up.  I wasn't conscious enough to figure out what was going on and assumed it was her being a lovey pain because we were in office rather than WFH yesterday.  She's lucky I love her!

Lazyistus for sure is real. My thoughts are you live here and need to do your part just like everyone else.

The Jedi woke up this morning telling me Pebbles kept waking him up. He said he didn't get much sleep, crawled into bed with me but all he did was keep me awake.

She jumped into bed and began head-butting me.

Then she turned around and farted on me.

Monthly order from chewy.com came today, just in time man.

Those people have customer service and website capabilities down to a science!

I chiefly order food, but you can also order litter and not have to lug it home from the store.

--

I've also concluded that I should buy only "lightweight" litter.

The regular stuff makes the poop-clumps really heavy, and I must refill the box more often.

Well, there's bad, grandma'esque scented grossness or craptacular scented grossness.  I don't care for either, but doubling it up makes it 1000 times worse!

Your math needs work, si mam ma'am, so see here:

-------

IMMACULATE MATH

A mathematician, a biologist, and a physicist were sitting at a street café, watching people going into and coming out of the house on the other side of the street.

First, they saw 2 people going into the house.  After a while, they noticed 3 people coming out of the house.

The physicist said, "The measurement wasn't accurate."
The biologist said, "They have reproduced."
The mathematician said, "If now exactly one person enters the house, then it will be empty again."

Soooo...the bad Bat cat was badly behaved this morning and decided to take it upon himself to serve himself breakfast.

He comes in to get the girl cat sometime between 4 and 6:30am daily.  This has been the routine for a while.  He comes in and chirps at her and then they start doing cat things.  I have to kick them out because they play and are noisy so I find him (he is usually sitting next to the stool at the foot of the bed), pick him up and take him out, quickly get back in the room, close the door, "psp psp psp" the Siamese cat so she'll come to the door, crack it and she runs out.  I do this in the dark, half asleep, on the daily.  Whatever.

I had ordered cat & dog food and the package arrived during trick or treat hours, so naturally I just set it on the diningroom table and continued with the costume complements and quest to rid the house of candy.  Well, apparently in the wee hours of this morning, boy cat was annoyed by being kicked out and went up onto the table (he KNOWS he's not allowed up there and normally can't jump up due to arthritis in his back) via a chair that wasn't pushed fully in and ripped a hole in the new bag of the food.  Not sure how much he helped himself to, but he certainly wasn't as annoying as the cats usually are when I do get up at 6:30am.  The girl cat told me famine was imminent, but he did not.  Makes sense now...he was only being slightly annoying because routine.

He's such a jerk but I love him anyway.  🐱

Our little girls have a belly now. They are eating maybe too well. I keep them in the Jedi's room at night so they don't attempt to try to eat my geckos. I coax them in there at night with treats, so that is probably contributing to the belly.

The Jedi is in absolute love with them. They are helping his anxiety so much. Ticks are gone  I keep telling him when feels sad, stressed or worried about something go sit on the floor in his room and Rayla comes and plops herself next to him. She just lays there purring. I think these kittens knew he needed them. When we went to go meet them they instantly jumped up on him. The sign from the foster lady said no young kids, but they said otherwise. I'm so happy we took the chance on them.

On litter news, I went back to the crystals and we are at 5 weeks on one bag. No stinks and none of that clay, dusty smells either.

Kid2 loves Boy Cat and has to make sure there's pettings before one can leave to catch the bus for school.  Both of my kids are neurodivergent, so the pets really are a calming presence for them.

The dry stuff has carbohydrates = fattening, si D ma'am.

Cats are obligate carnivores, eat-meaters man.

Cat T-B. was quite chunky earlier this year.

Finally took the vet's advice and switched her solely to wet glop*.

*how can they eat that disgusting, vile #######, anyway?

By next visit, she was down to acceptable weight.

However, she will not eat the partial bowl of dry stuff that I always leave out.

She instead lobbies for more wet glop**.

I finally got smart and began knife-slicing those little tubs open (they don't rip open neatly).

Expensive, but I have them on auto-order from Chewy.com.
