K1 visa denied

Hey everyone i wish you’re doing okay. So my friend today got denied of the K1 visa because it’s not allowed to marry cousin please if anyone know what he should do in this situation tell us please.

He needs to move to a state that allows first cousin marriages. Otherwise he will never get an immigrant visa for his fiancee/wife.

Doesn't look like Ohio allows first cousins to marry. Maybe patrioteer can move to a different state.

By the way she is not his first cousin she is close to his family and they have the same last name

You said they are cousins..... the logical conclusion is that they are first cousins, based on your post.  Clarification is needed, please.

Second cousins are allowed to marry in all 50 states.   I think you need to find the real reason for the denial.
