 I-129F petition approvals are valid for 4 months.  DOS can, at their discretion (and normally do), extend those dates in 4 month intervals .

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No.  That is not true at all.  It is 100% inaccurate.  Read my comment above for the correct answer.

Oopps that’s what out lawyer told us when I was on that situation, sorry, my bad!!!

I was just about to post a similar query. Mine is expiring on the 26th of August and we are currently waiting for our case to reach the consulate. Is there something I must do on my part or will the extension happen automatically?

It should automatically happen.  However, you can email the consulate and ask them to extend the petition.  That will verify your intent.
