Can anybody help me with a question? At what point and time can I apply for a social security card for my wife? We still are waiting for the AOS process? Thanks Dynamo Dean

Is she employment-authorized? If yes, you can go apply right away. AOS (as in the green card) is irrelevant.

No she is not employed are authorized! So I guess this means I have to wait? I did not file the paper work for her work are travel documents. We just did the AOS? Dynamo Dean

No she is not employed are authorized! So I guess this means I have to wait? I did not file the paper work for her work are travel documents. We just did the AOS? Dynamo Dean

Then you will have to wait for the green card, or file for EAD in the meantime.

I assume you've already paid $1010 for AOS -- that money covers the EAD fee as well if you file form I-765.

Typically you would file both at the same time, but I do believe that you can file them separately (as long as you file I-485 before the other). When you do file I-765, attach a copy of your I-485 NOA1 and make sure to emphasize (by way of a cover letter, for example) that you've already applied for AOS and stuff, mention your I-485 case number, etc. If I remember right, that's how to do it, but don't take my word for it. I expect you can verify by reading the instructions to form I-765.

Yeah, I still cannot see my I-130 online either. My I-485 and I-765 were not online until after my Biometrics.

Also, got a question: I am wondering if my local office have my applications or are they still in Chicago? At what point to they get sent to local offices?

Okay, so I just received my appointment notice yesterday (on the official NOA-like paper) and today I have yet another letter (on normal paper, directly from the San Francisco office) in the mail - "due to overscheduling" they had to move my interview date. Instead of Wednesday 11/21 at 12:45 we are now scheduled for Monday 11/19 at 8:00. I guess I like the idea of having the interview a couple days earlier, but I don't like the idea of dealing with Monday morning rush hour. Oh well...

Today must be my lucky day because I also received my EAD card in the mail, yippee. The best thing about today though is that we are leaving for our week-long New England honeymoon tomorrow. Yahoo!! :dance:

How do I get my data in the spreadsheet corrected/updated? We sent in our AOS 7/26. It was received in Chicago 7/28. They cashed one of our two checks, but lost the biometrics check. We were told to send in a replacement check, which we did last week. But we do not yet have NOA for both checks, let alone a biometric appointment or approval.
