My husband's EAD was approved today, according to two e-mails and case status update on the USCIS website. We are very grateful. This is a happy ending for a challenging week.

I'm the USC.

11/05/2007........Conditional permanent residency effective date.

01/10/2008........Two-year green card in hand.

08/08/2009........Our son was born <3

08/08/2009........Filed for removal of conditions.

12/16/2009........ROC was approved.

11/05/2010........Eligible for Naturalization.

03/01/2011........Separated.

11/05/2012........Eligible for Naturalization.

Good News from my side..!!

My EAD card production has been ordered on 26th Sept.

Hav'nt got any letter on the mail yet..

Can anybody tell me how long it takes to receive the card from the time its approved?

USCIS says 30 days, is'nt it normally received sooner.

Cheers....

a suggestion from my side...why dont we add a column mentioning the EAD approval date just like the how the July filers post is maintaining..

We filed our papers in Aug 15 and still haven't received an NOA. How long does it normally take? I'm noticing here that a lot of peple filing after us have already received theirs.

05/28/07 - Applied for Joan's SSN - no problems - got it in mail a few days later

07/09/07 - Got Maui'd in Hawaii Wedding Photos

07/19/07 - Got vaccination for Joan (she didn't get it in Phil)

08/15/07 - Filed our AOS papers

10/--/07 - Found out we sent the papers to wrong office. We've called several times to get this clarified but all got is that we need to WAIT for our papers to be forwarded or returned to us.

10/--/07 - We got our papers back.... ngngngng and re-sent it to the right office

01/23/08 - Got our interview date

03/10/08 - INTERVIEW DONE!! Our Interview Experience

Update:

NOA1: 8/30; Biometrics: 9/5; transfer to CSC: 9/24; EAD production ordered: 9/27.

Also just received an email from USCIS saying that the case is now pending at the service center to which the case was transfered. So I guess it's been received and scanned.

Divs: from another thread, I read that some people received their EAD within a week or so of getting the message saying that the card had been produced. However, I'm not holding my breath and have vowed to not freak out until the 30 days go by!

Wat about your biometrics appnt letter?

Well we too received our NOA1 38 days after USCIS received our papers but had our biometrics before that.

Check with other filers around your time to see if this kind of delay is common but i would suggest you to call USCIS and subsequently take an infopass apnt..

45 days is long enough to start receiving correspondences from USCIS..!!

I received an RFE - or maybe I should call it "Request for Initial Evidence", in the mail yesterday. They are asking for W-2s, 1099s and/or all schedules submitted to the Internal Revenue Services. I can't believe they are asking for this AGAIN :unsure: since I included all the pertinent documents and supporting documents in our AOS packet. I guess I have no choice but to respond and send another copy. Oh well... it's not so bad. At least we know that they are really working on our case, right? :thumbs: I'll be sending the documents today so that they can resume processing.

Hiya, we recieved the same RFE (pretty much the same). Sent ours back last week. Haven't heard anything yet but hopefully we've got all the correct info that we could possibly have. Some of it was copies of what we had already sent. I'll report back if we hear anything. Good luck!

I just sent back what they're asking yesterday. It's the same documents that I initially sent along with my AOS packet, only this time, I added my hubby's SS benefits 1099's. No W-2's so we just sent in bank statements showing his monthly retirement income, which is deposited in his account monthly. I hope these will do.

Hope it works out, sorry to hear that you got RFE letter, especially since you already sent everything in they asked the first time, such a total waste of your time, I am just not impressed with USA Immigration Service and Federal Government agencies at all in this process, they are very deficient and lacking in the ability to do their job fairly and consistently, mainly CONSISTENCY! for example I see where some get this transfer back to CSC while others do not and have to wait and take longer, it makes absolutely no logical sense at all!

NOA1: 8/30; Biometrics: 9/5; transfer to CSC: 9/24; EAD production ordered: 9/27.

Also just received an email from USCIS saying that the case is now pending at the service center to which the case was transfered. So I guess it's been received and scanned.

Hey everyone, my cases still can't be tracked online but I did received an RFE today, so at least I know they are working on our case. My husband is self-employed and we had mailed in his past 3 years tax returns (all of which are above the poverty line), the schedules that are filed with his tax returns and his 1099's.

The RFE states:

F (25) The petitioner or joint sponsor's income as reported on the federal tax return submitted with Form I-864 Affidavit of Support does not meet or exceed 125% (100% if military) of the poverty line. The petitioner's or joint sponsor's current income as reported on Form I-1864 or I-1864EZ Affidavit of Support is insufficient but no evidence has been submitted as proof of the current income. Submit evidence of the sponsor's current income. Evidence includes a letter of employment from current employers and should show dates of employment, the nature of the job(s), wages or salary earned, number of hours/weeks worked, and prospects for future employment and advancement. The sponsor should also include paystubs for the most recent 6 months.

Should we just re-send all 3 tax returns with the schedules and 1099's again? Along with the past 6 months bank statements and a letter on his own business head with details of how much he earns and works a month? Should we also send his business license, and information on upcoming work? We don't have a joint sponsor, but do you think we should find one just in case? Would it be easier to file with a co-sponsor that is not self-employed and has actually W-2's?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm just a little confused as I've seen other's who had mailed in Affadivits that their sponsor was self-employed and they were asked specifically for the state license and stuff.

Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I send all the correct information requested and don't get another RFE.
