2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport

Hi! I believe the I-797C is the NOA1....and it gives my biometric appointment details..I didnt get anything else! Is this normal? Will get something else too???

If I'm wrong then someone else can clarify for you (and me) as I haven't even had my check cashed yet but I don't think they give you your biometrics appointment on your NOA1. I think you got your biometrics appointment and you should receive a separate receipt from USCIS which will be your NOA1, that just states they received your package and this is your case number.

:star:Good morning, we got our I-797C in the mail yesterday. Please update us, I-797 NOA 1 dated August 27, received August 30. Have not had time to see if check cleared yet or not, guess it does not matter now for in this notice it indicates they have it. Also indicates USCIS will schedule our biometrics appointment and we will be receiving the notice for date and time and location soon after this notice, so they reassure us in this letter. ANYWAY hope we can get that done by mid September! :devil:

HI, please update us to your info grid with our status, received NOA 1 I-797 notice 8/30/07, showing date of notice 8/27/07, have not had time to check and see if check has cleared bank, not worried NOA1 indicates they received it. Also says in short time soon we will be getting biometrics letter indicating time, date and place to go for it.

I had my bio appointment today! It was easy, we arrived 25 minutes early and were out of there right before my appointment was scheduled. Yup, whole thing took less than 25 minutes.

- We went in, showed the guy at the front desk my appointment letter, my passport with visa and our marriage certificate.

- He put my stuff on a clip board and gave me a sheet of paper and a pencil and asked us to sit down and fill it out and give it to a lady at another desk further in.

- Basic stuff, address, eye color, hair color and so on... gave it to the lady who gave me a number.

- Within 5 minutes my number came up and an older man came over and took me to a fingerprint computer console. DH followed, the guy was happy to let DH watch and gave him a chair to sit in, even though there's a sign that says that you have to be alone, or with an interpreter if absolutely necessary. It was all pretty casual.

- He entered my details into the computer and then took my finger prints and finger rolls, all pretty normal stuff.

- He then got me to sit down and he took my picture.

- Then he said "we're done, see you later!" and we left and came home.

So that's what I've been up to. Congrats to everyone that has received a NOA1, even if they're coming in in a seemingly random order, it's still great to see. We're still waiting for ours, hopefully it comes soon. As for the NOA1 dates, the date on the NOA1 is probably best but if you prefer the dates received it's up to you. :) I'm just happy that things are moving, albeit slowly :)

Which one is the correct list for all the August filers? I see different lists in the posts and i am only on one of the list. Please add my information on correct August filers list.

Packet sent August 7th. They received it August 9th. No NOA1 yet or the Check cashed.

Hi my fellow August filers!

I got my Biometrics Appt letter today, I'm going to Oakland Support Center on Saturday, September 15. Kind of cool - I don't have to take time off work ;)

What's interesting, this appointment letter has different case numbers than what were on my cleared checks. The MSC numbers from the checks are not recognized by the Uscis website, they are wrong. The MSC numbers stated on this Bio Appt letter work online and now I know my NOA1 date for both AOS and EAD is August 17th. I didn't get the NOA's in the mail yet though.

I'm a happy camper now. Good luck to all of you guys!

Hi! I have my Bio at Oakland too on Sept 22. Do let me know how it goes :) I agree the numbers on my checks was different from the ones given on the Bio notice...i dont see it in the system though :(
