Does it come from your local office or the processing center? Just curious.

Yak-Nam and I sent our materials off on 7/28, they were received on 7/30, no NOA1 received yet.

The letter came from the National Benefits Center in Missouri.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let the forum know (what may be old news to most) that I called the USCIS Customer Service number this morning to notify them of my change of address, but was informed that I have to wait 90 days for my NOA because of the deluge of applications received. If you filed in and around 30 July 2007 and haven't received your NOA within 90 days that is when you can give them a call so until then, most end of July and August filers will have to sit tight and wait for the NOA's to come through. In the meantime, I guess I will just have to fill in the AR-11 and hope that it will eventually catch up with my application.

P.S One would think that they would have seen this coming (loads of apps coming in before new fee structure deadline) and put something in place so that they could deal with the extra applications.

If we don't ever get ours, I'm not bothering to phone them back over a NOA1. It really serves no purpose other than to give you your case number (which you can get several other ways) and tell you the case is pending.

Hi i think we are Aug filer too... our timeline is on my signature.

I just wanna ask, im having biometrics appointment this friday, why I can't check my status online when i enter my Receipt number both AOS and EAD it says;

Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

* Case Status Retrieval Failed

* This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

i don't understand why it comes up like this. and what is wrong.

USCIS are slow with updating everyones applications into the computer database. Most people haven't been able to access their case online until after their biometrics appointments, so don't worry about it.

Good news here!

I just noticed that both my checks cleared yesterday! Yippee! I'm so relieved, because the USPS never confirmed my delivery even though I sent it Priority with Signature Confirmation. I have my case numbers too, but the USCIS website doesn't recognize them yet either. No biggie. Now I hope it won't take unusually long for the Biometrics, EAD card and the actual Interview.

The San Jose ASC is very slow. You have a lot longer to wait. I'd say at the earliest, another 2-3 weeks. I'd be shocked if you receive a biometric notice before two weeks.

[b]NO you are not alone or the only one! I am still waiting also, no check cashed yet either or letterNOA1 or Biometrics letter for us either. We mailed on July 27 and they signed and received it July 29 at like 1 am in morning! It is there I know it got delivered. I realized this would no doubt happen, it amazes me how incompetent our USA federal government is, you would think someone in the upper levels of management would think to say "Hey you know since we are understaffed enough as it is now and not very timely or efficient, maybe we ought to try and incorporate these new fee increases every other month or two or three and stagger them out over the next 6 months or year for all the different types of immigration forms, thus so we do not have a tidal wave of applications come piling in all at once that we will not be able to handle!" It just amazes me how the Dept of Homeland Security and USCIS operate, unbelievable, I now see what friends and family were telling me and warning me about once I started this visa journey process, I had no idea it could be so slow, inept and down right ridiculously pathetically incompetent! Hang in there, we are all waiting, sad thing is we did not even know about this new fee increase until after reading about it on here! We had just planned on filing when we did because it just happened to fall on that date to fit everything in for us after marriage and having all required documents ready to go by then. I just feel for all the people that are now filing after the deadline for fee increase and for all those in love trying to get a K1 now or whatever else, it is incredible how much they jacked the fees, I mean it is highway robbery at it's finest! Mine hasn't been cashed either. Mailed it on July 28th and they received it on Aug 1st.
