I noticed that I did not let you guys know that we received our NOA a couple of weeks ago with a receipt date of August 28th. Every bit of information is another piece to understanding where we are in the whole process. :hehe:

I received an RFE - or maybe I should call it "Request for Initial Evidence", in the mail yesterday. They are asking for W-2s, 1099s and/or all schedules submitted to the Internal Revenue Services. I can't believe they are asking for this AGAIN :unsure: since I included all the pertinent documents and supporting documents in our AOS packet. I guess I have no choice but to respond and send another copy. Oh well... it's not so bad. At least we know that they are really working on our case, right? :thumbs: I'll be sending the documents today so that they can resume processing.

My EAD is being processed and should be received within 30 days according to the email. I filed it with the AOS.

Hi Mae,

Thats the RFE I received, I resent the stuff again with a cover letter, stating that we had a co-sponser ready and able

should the evidence not be sufficient. Not 'strictly' true, but if need be, we have few lined up that a couple of beers and a meal at Red Lobster could convince!!!!

They have resumed processing on our case, so now we are waiting to see whether it done the job for them or not.

My daughter's case (shes 8), received the same evidence yet her RFE, also asked for Payslips?

Not sure why hers did and not mine, all I can think is that its a differnet officer processing?

We received a RFE today for a Co-Sponser because I didn't meet the 125% over the poverty level for the last 2 years because I was a missionary. My mother is going to fill it out tonight an we will mail back tomorrow.

Hiya, we recieved the same RFE (pretty much the same). Sent ours back last week. Haven't heard anything yet but hopefully we've got all the correct info that we could possibly have. Some of it was copies of what we had already sent. I'll report back if we hear anything. Good luck!

No news yet on my AOS, but my EAD was approved today (9/27), much to my surprise. It only took 63 days.

Timeline:

2005-04-14: met online

2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport

I received an RFE - or maybe I should call it "Request for Initial Evidence", in the mail yesterday. They are asking for W-2s, 1099s and/or all schedules submitted to the Internal Revenue Services. I can't believe they are asking for this AGAIN :unsure: since I included all the pertinent documents and supporting documents in our AOS packet. I guess I have no choice but to respond and send another copy. Oh well... it's not so bad. At least we know that they are really working on our case, right? :thumbs: I'll be sending the documents today so that they can resume processing.

Hiya, we recieved the same RFE (pretty much the same). Sent ours back last week. Haven't heard anything yet but hopefully we've got all the correct info that we could possibly have. Some of it was copies of what we had already sent. I'll report back if we hear anything. Good luck!

I just sent back what they're asking yesterday. It's the same documents that I initially sent along with my AOS packet, only this time, I added my hubby's SS benefits 1099's. No W-2's so we just sent in bank statements showing his monthly retirement income, which is deposited in his account monthly. I hope these will do.
