I-864 Scanning questions.

Hi everyone. 
I am preparing the I-864, NVC requirement is the file is not larger than 2MB. I tried many ways but if compressed to 2MB it not clearly to read. The question is: Can I just print out the signature page (page 8), sign it, scan that page then insert back to the file? Have everyone tried that way?

Use Adobe Acrobat paid version to scan and combine documents at 200 DPI resolution in grey scale. You can also compressed after combining if the size is > 2MB.

We did.  Printed and scanned only the signature page, then replaced the corresponding page in the filled-out I-864 PDF.  The resulting PDF file was well under 1MB.  Accepted by NVC and the consulate without any issue.

This is exactly what I did. I happen to have the paid version, and compressed it through Adobe. It's not unreadable. It's not necessarily crisp and pretty, but not blurry or unreadable. NVC hasn't gotten to our file yet, so I don't know what the outcome will be. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤞🏾

I'm trying to fill out my I-864 and am confused on how to properly upload it and my federal tax return. For the I-864, I have to fill it all out by hand, scan and save to a PDF and then upload? I have to download and pay for Adobe Acrobat to compress and resize file, etc. to do so?
