If you are confident, your current income qualifies you and clearly well over the minimum, just ignore the message, and thank your potential joint sponsor for their willingness to help, but explain it will not be necessary.

Thank you, Mr. Corbett, what would be the worst thing that could happen if I get to continue on my own the case is sent to the US Embassy and the consular officer doesn't think I qualify? In your experience have you had any similar case where someone just makes a couple of thousands over the poverty guidelines? Should I continue with my joint sponsor? Thank you in advance for your answers!

I take it you are submitting the affidavit NOW or soon.  If your income qualifies NOW, you'll get past NVC.  Whether a Consular Officer approves, is going to be based on the totality of circumstances, including your current income at THAT time.  If it's still going to be marginal, you should proceed with the joint sponsor.

Thank you for this. Just got DQ'd today,  but also got the same notice despite my salary being more than double the required amount to bring my husband here. They are going ahead and scheduling his interview in London so hopefully all goes well. Along with tax transcripts, I submitted my payroll history as well as a letter on company letterhead confirming my continued and ongoing employment with the company as well as verifying my current salary. At this point all we can do is have him attend his interview and hope for the best. That notice on CEAC is frightening, even though I know I make well above the required income.

It's all good then.  That notice is based on your current income on your latest tax return.  Just ignore it.
