Has anyone had success transferring their case?

My husband and I are Documentarily Qualified, but the wait time for the interview in our country is 1+yrs. Has anyone successfully transferred their case to another embassy for a faster interview date?

Are the beneficiary a legal resident in another country? 

You cannot just shop Consulates because you want to skip the line. Immigration does not work like that.

 

The Consulate will process cases just for people resident in that country. Some local documents is required as proof

You can transfer to another embassy, as long as you get permission from that embassy; however, it is not likely they will give it. I have seen people transfer on visit visas, so your milage may vary. The US government is cool with you using an embassy in another country along as the embassy is cool with it, and usually the embassy is cool with it if you have some kind of freelance visa or student visa.

The current question relates to an immigrant visa, not just any visa.  Immigrant visa interviews are held in the country of citizenship or actual residence.  In short, you have to have authorization to LIVE not just visit a country in order to justify a transfer of Consulate for an immigrant visa.
