You don’t plan for anything… that is the drawback of adjusting status. The petitioner and beneficiary believe being inside the US and together is more important than the beneficiary working(inside or outside the US) and/or being able to travel (outside the US).

I'd like to be able to go retrieve the last of my personal items in Canada but I'm not seeing how AP is the answer.

Am I wasting my time submitting this?

Should I attempt to submit just in case I'll eventually need it?

Can my previous landlord submit a letter as "evidence" that I need to return for my things?

Can I submit without hard evidence that it's unavoidably necessary?

How does this work?

 

Please help.

K1s do not need to provide any specific reasons. Things like N/A and TBD are perfectly acceptable. 
 

I see @Crazy Cat gave this advice last time and it still stands.
