Hopefully this isn't a completely dense question!

I've been scouring this website looking for an answer but I'm still not entirely clear on what I need to do here.

I'm filling out form I-485, in Part 8 #62 where it asks for size of household. I immigrated to the US from Canada under my, now, husband's sponsorship. Is this question in regards to the size of the household that's requiring sponsorship? Would it just be me or would it be me and my American husband? Do our two other roommates need to be considered in this count? (I assume not as they are not involved with our immigration process at all). I did look at the form instructions to see who should be included but it still doesn't specify if the American citizen and sponsor is to be counted.

In that same vein, since I'm here on a K1 visa I don't have the ability to work so I am assuming the next question regarding annual household income would just be my husbands?

Thanks in advance!

Your household is just your husband and yourself.  Don't include the roommates.

And yes, the only annual income your household has right now is your husband's.

I would fill out the household size according to the I864 Part 5 1-8.  If the roommates are not financially dependent on your husband, they would not be counted, so you would end up with 2, and the annual income range would be just your husband unless you are adding any liquid assets.

Good Luck!

Thank you! I was worried adding him as part of the household would imply he was also immigrating. Likely just overthinking because it's important paperwork so I appreciate the response!

*the US petitioning sponsor is "filling out" the I864 form for themselves in support of the foreign applicant's I485.

They are the sponsor so the form is largely about them.

The immigrant is the immigrant. Their info goes in those sections.

Fill it out as if you were the sponsor.
