I am assuming you just want some hand holding so it does not really matter, if you have issues I would want a Lawyer who is local and well know.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

can’t follow - I’m sorry. Can you elaborate? You should net fly them in? Who is flying? (genuine question)

I’m guessing @Boiler is saying that -if one wants a lawyer in their interview- one wants a lawyer that one knows. Having a lawyer just for the sake of having one might not be really worth it -but again, to each their own.
Also, ideally, one wants a lawyer that is local, and preferably that knows the ins and outs of the local field office in which you will interview

Wife's work details - officer asked wife's supervisor name, her desk number etc. Not sure why.

Because they are trying to build a profile on her and see if she’s the type of person that would engage in fraud.

They live in a 2 bd and they expected he would ask why 2 bed?

Why were they expecting the officer to ask that? That’s odd.

Did he graduate?

I have never ever heard of an officer pull out Google maps in the interview, so not common.

l have seen tons of couples here with seemingly fine, short interviews being called again for another interview because something doesn’t add up.

So, you say they have a "joint" credit card. Since that's all you mention, is that it? That's the only evidence they have of a bonafide marriage?

This is proof positive you have to send everything you have as evidence. The amount of people on here that seem to claim you only should send a couple months of each type of evidence - bank, utilities etc…is just plain wrong and leading people into trouble.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it til I’m blue in the face…drown them in evidence! It’s not our job to decide what they want to see. This is what they are paid to do. Send them every single thing you got.

Hope this person can send more in and get this situation resolved.

Attorney response - He says it's common and the couple did good job. But, I don't think it's common to like most of you here. Attorney also said that he will sue uscis if required. Attorney told my friend that the officer is new and he is still in the learning process, it's a common thing to deal with new officers and nothing to be worried about. Attorney alaso said if the VO has more doubts of the couple didn't answer right, uscis won't send them home that soon and they would have asked more questions about sleeping habits, sex, what they did yesterday, more about their personal habits etc and told not to get worried about n400 and they will schedule it soon

Perhaps attorney is right..and no reason to worry. If marriage is real , there will be a Happy Ending

no matter a pesky RFE  / NOID.

A double master ( presumably good looking ) Indian professional is more likely to marry a well suited match ( Hindu or Muslim)….made by an Auntie 😂..hence the scrutiny…

@MyNameIsEarl I‘m sorry all of this happened to your friend. I can’t imagine the stress he must going through. Never the less. When people get nervous, oftentimes they just forgot. It’s human. We are no machines. I do believe in honesty. As Long as your friend and his USC-Wife are honest and got married in good faith and they have evidence together. He has nothing to fear. But yes, I had no idea either, but a stokes interview is usually not a good sign. Does your friend have strong evidence of their bona fide marriage or absolutely nothing? Do you know?

@cocoVA He said he does...they have joint lease, tax returns, electricity, internet, phone bills, pics with girls family during thanksgiving and Christmas, amazon shopping list, car insurance

It is nothing of the kind.  We sent quarterly statements of everything and were approved in 18 months (Nebraska) with no RFEs or interview.

😂 Seems like this officer decided to get creative. It could have been more impressive if he had pulled out an old-school paper map and asked the wife to show the exact route from their house to her husband's work, or point out restaurants they go to, grocery stores they shop at etc..

Good for you. But not everyone has that luck. Don’t send people down a dangerous path just because you had an easy experience. There is no reason on earth NOT to send everything you got, absolutely none. It’s laughable how people here seem to think it’s their job to decide what the officer wants to see.

You confidently stated an absolute, my experience was different, and I pointed that out.     I was in no way urging people not to send 50 lb packets.

We sent quality evidence, not quantity.

”YMMV” is implied when reporting personal experiences, which is what I was doing.

I'm not sure what "...everything you got" means.  I vote for quality over quantity...every time.  If an officer allots a certain block of time to review evidence (and is limited to the number of pages he/she will pull from the stack), why put a bunch of fluff in the stack?  I just don't think officers have time to sift through reams and reams of paper.  Over the period of 2 years, a legitimate relationship should be able to provide a lot of quality stuff in less than a thousand pages  Just my courteous opinion.
