Vaccination records

Hi All!

I have looked on the forum and did not see anything around how to prove that vaccinations have been taken. So asking this.

My fiancée is an Indian citizen and when she was vaccinated, record keeping was not a proper thing, so we don't have any vaccination records.

What can we provide to the physician on the US Immigration panel so that we can prove of having taken some vaccinations instead of re-taking the vaccines again?

Per this link, there's some guidance stating that some type of reasonable looking vaccination records are expected:

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/vaccinations.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fimmigrantrefugeehealth%2Fexams%2Fti%2Fcivil%2Fvaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#anchor_1506438048561

Curious to hear from others on this topic.

She can ask her primary care doctor to perform / order titer tests to verify her immunity or ask the panel physician to perform / order the tests

Yeah, that is a good plan. Maybe that single test can be done to check for multiple vaccinations. Thank you.

I do not know how many vials of blood will need to be drawn, but it will surely be a single blood draw session if she gives the primary care doctor the list of immunizations she knows she had along with the list required to get a green card.

I would expect a separate lab test for each immunization on a sample from one of the vials, but the mechanics of the lab process do not concern her.

It is not a single test.  Titers are test-specific.

3 years ago i did MMR varicella titer and the result is i'm immune for that. i used that result test ( im immune to those) and give it to my civil surgeon last year so i dont need to redo / get vaccine for MMR varicella.

the rest i already have complete series long before i did the medical, so same like the titter test, i just send all my records to the civil surgeon

Some phobia of a needle is at play on our side, but let's see. Thanks for the tip.

Good to know that a few years old titer test still worked.
About 'civil surgeon', is that the physician on the US Immigration panel ?

What kind of vaccinations? Can you be specific. Reason I’m saying some you can say you had it ( if you had that chicken pox , I had chickenpox twice when I was kid). And some are new one WHICH we didn’t have when we were kids I had to take them anyway

For AOS after K1, my fiancée is required to have been vaccinated for MMR, Diptheria, Tetanus, Varicella and Hep B.

My fiancée did have chicken pox so she doesn't need to be vaccinated for Varicella, however, a verbal or a self-written declaration to the the US panel physician won't be sufficient.

I am inclined to say that even a declaration/letter from a doctor in a local hospital won't be sufficient either.

I think a documentary evidence will be needed along with a declaration.

When my spouse went to the medical exam, he had no vaccination records whatsover, (Indonesia,) they just proceeded to give him a whole bunch of vaccines required by the US and that was the end of that.  His K 1 Visa was approved without issue.

FYI, it is so much easier (and usually cheaper) to get that taken care of prior to coming over with the visa.
