List the income under annual household income.  Income does not have to be taxable to list.  Use VA Awards letter and Social Security Benefits letters for proof.

Note:  Current Annual income and last 3 tax year numbers to be listed on the I-864 are unrelated unless you are self-employed.  They do not have to match.

this plus if not required to file for non taxable income get the IRS letter

  • Verification of Non-filing Letter - states that the IRS has no record of a processed Form 1040-series tax return as of the date of the request. It doesn't indicate whether you are required to file a return for that year. This letter is available after June 15 for the current tax year or anytime for the prior three tax years using Get Transcript Online or Form 4506-T. Use Form 4506-T if you need a letter for older tax years.

Is SSI the same as disability?   if it is listed as  SSI not SSDI

SSI is different from our Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program

[^ 19] USCIS does not include income derived from the public benefits listed in 8 CFR 212.21(b): Supplemental Security Income (SSI);
And it does mention SS income (if u know where to look)

USCIS does not limit the consideration of income only to income that appears on federal income tax forms, and considers all evidence of income from lawful sources. Examples of income that may not appear on income tax forms include child support and alimony. Some households may also have regular income, such as Social Security income, that does not reach the minimum required threshold for filing federal income taxes.[23] USCIS also considers any evidence a noncitizen submits pertaining to expected future income.

But read that site as it  lists factors of the USC that help determine totality of circumstances like age,  health,  etc

Title of topic says SSDI.

SSDI is valid income for I-864 as I have referenced.

SSI is not valid income for I-864.

Too many posts on VJ conflate SSI, SsDI, and SS retirement income. They are all different.
