I-824 apply for visa abroad

Hello

My friend filed I-130 for his spouse and petition was approved. However, when  he filled the I-130 he stated that his spouse will AOS, in the US instead of applying for visa abroad. His spouse is currently living abroad and she needs to apply a visa which required to file I-824.

petitioner is filing I-824 on Part 1

On Part 2 of I-824 Reason for Request

he should check "USCIS to send my immigration approved petition to the NVC" right?

On part 3 Information about beneficiary previous approved petition. If other than you

1A. "Form number of previously approved application or petition", what is this form?

This is like the 3rd one today?!

 

That refers to the petition (I-130).

 

That error will cost an extra year to the process.
