Hi, so I filed for my mom to immigrate to the US from Haiti back in 2021, I'm a U.S. citizen, she finally received an interview letter. She doesn't speak english so I'm taking all the steps to ensure she has all the documents required. To get to my question, on the travel.state.gov website it says that "the applicant do not need to bring the Affidavit of Support or any financial documents submitted to NVC to the visa interview", however, on the ustraveldocs.com website for U.S. embassy of Haiti, it states that "updated tax documents for 2021 for the petitioner and the joint sponsor" are required for the immigrant visa interview".

For anyone who has recently immigrated any family member to the U.S. from Haiti, did they require your family member to bring the affidavit of support documents or any financial documents to the visa interview?

Where there are differences always follow the local consulate instructions . They have discretion and final say over what is required
