Pls i have 2 questions.

Backstory :  I forgot to add an important supporting document when i sent in my i751. When i filed, USCIS created an online account for me and sent me a receipt notice with this information and login details. My Receipt No. starts with IOE (which mean processing online).

So i login into my new account and i saw my i751 application but i was shocked to see just one page of a random supporting document amongst the hundreds i mailed in physically with my application. So, i assumed one random document was what was needed to create the account and i didn't put much thought to it no longer because i had mailed in all my supporting documents.

1. So this is where my first question comes in. Was this the same situation for those of you that got the IOE receipt no. after mailing in your application?? Was one random document just uploaded for you when your online account was created?

2. and here comes my second question
Now, i want to go ahead and upload the important document i forgot about to my online account. Is that a good idea? what should i do?

Thanks

My lawyer filed a metric ####### ton of evidence for me but when I go to the online account I only see a tif of like one document. So yeah :) hope that’s normal and we’re not getting shafted

2018-06: Entered the US on a B1/B2

2018-12: Met my partner, applied for extension of stay

2019-04: Request for evidence on extension

2019-08: Extension rejected :(

2019-08-28: Got engaged

2019-10-17: Got married. Started collecting docs, exams...

2020-1-20: Put into removal proceedings, probably due to the extension application :( My biggest regret is waiting too long after marriage to file I-130. Now my case will be handled by DHS in addition to USCIS and a judge needs to approve it.

2020-02-21: I-130 filed/received (priority date).
2020-02-25: USCIS: "Case received. Receipt notice was emailed"

2020-02-28: Did my fingerprints at USCIS, as scheduled by the removal proceedings letter

2020-03: Originally scheduled first hearing before a judge. Postponed to 2020-07 due to COVID-19. Hoping that the judge allows my case to await USCIS's decision.
2020-05-01: USCIS: "In Process. Your benefit request has been accepted and is under review."

2020-09-18: I-130 Approved!

Upload it. Could be the difference between an RFE and an approval. I didn't have our tax return and a few other documents when we filed and since uploaded it to the unsolicited evidence section. I'd rather do that than have my case on hold for an extra few months if they decide they want it.

Nah yall getting it wrong. The tif file is quite a large file if you download and open it on a computer. You’d see some a long list of documents they’ve chosen to show in the tif file. Downloading it from mobile will show it as just a file and one document, but with a computer you’d see at least more than one document. Confirm and let me know what you guys see ..

Also uploading unsolicited information is not advisable. If you receive an RFE it doesn’t delay most time after submitting the RFE you’d see an update so don’t upload until it’s requested you do so. But everyone and their own personal opinions and way of doing things.

I think since you filed with divorce waiver it may take a bit longer for your case. I think 18 months is the minimum anybody should be ready for nowadays.

Nothing here. I saw that some of the June 2023 filers are getting theirs already but there has been zero movement in our case.

Hmm, I think it’s getting pretty close though..

My lawfully app predicts I should get a response between the next 2-7 months 🥲

It’s been a long wait. I’ll be filling N400 in a month, that’s the end goal!

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
