My fiancé and I received our NOA2 on July 3 2023 , we were super excited..  However as of today we have not heard a word from NVC..(67 days)....

On August 29 2023 i sent a letter of inquiry to the NVC , they sent an email that makes no sense ..It states we will be notified once this case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy /Consulate General..

Today i sent an email to NVCReaserch@state.gov...

I gave them my DOB/ my fiancé's DOB

Our names and a picture of our NOA2

Also our USCIS case number in the subject box..

The NOA2 states a good thru date of 10/29/2023

Should i be concerned?

Is there anything i should be doing?

Any advice appreciated ..

Did you submit an inquiry here asking for your case number?

I don’t believe they provide case numbers via the email you noted above.

Nothing out of the ordinary if you did jot get the case number yet. The NVC is just as unorganized as USCIS. There are people with June NOA2s still awaiting a case number.

Just got my case number today. Does the K1-FTP letter comes in a separate email?

Hope everyone else who is awaiting a case number gets one soon! 🥳

@Bh_sarah the K-1 FTP letter is separate from the case number email, right?

I got my noa(2) on the exact same day as you, and I also submitted my inquiry on the exact same day as you.

I just got my reply in my email about an hour ago.

they gave me my case number, but no invoice Id. I don’t know if I have to wait to get that from the actually physical letter or what….

We do not need a invoice id.

Select immigrant visa so that only the case # is needed below. You can check the case status here.

Yes Elisab24  I submitted an inquiry to the address you listed..

I asked about a case number but the response did not make any sense.. Said i would be notified once this case was forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General.

Thank you for the help and congratulations again to TUC

Yeah, that is so strange. I would just submit another inquiry and hopefully next week, you will have your case number.

Seems to be happening for folks who get their NOA2 in June 2023 as well

yes! It’s when they ship your case to the embassy. It has your case number but it’s a whole different email that comes from another NVC email account too
