NOA1 was dated late 2/2023 so u have a few months of waiting ahead of u

save all correspondence with USCIS and NVC (when u go thru that step

file your 2023 taxes as married /u r no longer single

how u file is your choice MFS or MFJ  or head of household if qualified

refer to IRS for info

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-spouse

As soon as u have been dq by NVC mail the original to the immigrant so your spouse has them for interview as mail is slow in many African  countries

documents need to be in native language with an English translation

and visit spouse as often as u can to strengthen your case

our countries look to time spent together for establishing a real relationship

Sounds good, but why not skip the mail and use DHL etc.  Far faster and infinitely more reliable.

what are some time consuming tasks that I can get started on while i wait on USCIS processing?

Collect more evidence of the marriage relationship since the petition was filed, additional time spent together, some financial co-mingling, etc. and upload all the new documents at the NVC stage.  This will help strengthen the case if the interview is in Egypt.

Yes.  That's part of your time consuming homework. 😉

Build a wooden boat.  Normal size or model, plank on frame.  I think both take about the same amount of time but the material costs would be different.

I can probably build a replicate of Noah's ark and still have an eternity before my I-130 gets approved.
