I can't believe it.

I applied from NYC on JULY 20TH.

Today SEPT 20TH I received my interview notice that is scheduled for OCTOBER 25TH.

This was extremely fast, considering everyone told me NYC was on average slower.

Nice!

Wish me luck 😬

Tampa, FL

My wife is the Permanent Resident from Canada. She was issued a greencard in May 2011. Issued for 12 years, 2 months. (We are not sure why it was issued for that length. It had to be sent back originally when she entered in 2011 because they issued it in her maiden name, so perhaps when they reissued it with her married name, it came in July so perhaps that is why the two extra months were added, but we have no idea why there were two extra years on there.) We applied for her citizenship on July 17, 2023 online. Receipt notice and Biometrics Reused issued same day within an hour. Case Status website updated Friday night, September 22nd to Interview Scheduled. Sunday, September 24th Interview letter posted to case status for interview in Tampa on October 30th.

We submitted the application 7/31. Appointment was scheduled for today 10/3.

6 civic test questions (all from the USCIS app). Read one sentence, write two sentences.

Then was into the questions from the N400 form.

At the same we did I751 questions/answers.

Everything took about 30 minutes. At the end my wife got letter stating that she has passed English test and history and government test.

The second check mark is at: Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified of when and where to report for your naturalization ceremony.

So ALMOST done :) I wonder how long it takes before we get the oath ceremony letter.

My husband had his citizenship interview at Baltimore on the 4th of October. The staff were friendly and kind. The officer was very nice and answered all his questions. My husband had studied hard and got all six questions correct. He recommended immediate approval, and by the end of day it had gone through. Oath ceremony is already scheduled for the 19th of October. Can barely believe it's finally over. He started feeling teary last night. So proud of him!
